THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU.

Mount Fuji, revered for centuries and associated with a great eruption that occurred approximately 1,300 years ago, has long been a focal point of mountain worship and spiritual devotion in Japan.
From August of last year through February of this year, I undertook a project exploring the spiritual traditions and cultural beliefs surrounding Mount Fuji. As part of this process, I created a body of work and dedicated a painting to Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine, a shrine established to console souls and pacify the destructive power of fire, while facing the sacred mountain in reverence.
This exhibition presents works created through that project.
The exhibition title is derived from a passage in the Gospel of Luke (17:21).
For me, this verse not only reflects a Western understanding of faith, but also resonates deeply with the essence of Shinto in Japan.
Where is God?
Where does the divine emerge?
Carrying these questions, I walked the foothills of Mount Fuji, contemplating volcano and life, fear and prayer, and the relationship between humanity and nature.

「神の国はあなたがたの内にある」
約1300年前の大噴火より遥拝されたと言われる富士山。
私は昨年8月から今年2月にかけて、富士山を象徴とした山岳信仰と民族の霊性を主題に制作を行い、富士山を遥拝し、鎮魂と鎮火の神社として鎮座する新倉富士浅間神社へ作品を奉納しました。
本展では、その一連のプロジェクトから生まれた作品群を展示いたします。
展示タイトルには、『ルカによる福音書』17章21節に由来する言葉を用いています。
それは私にとって、西洋の信仰を示す言葉であると同時に、日本における神道の本質とも深く響き合う一節でした。
神はどこにいるのか。
神なるものはどこに立ち現れるのか。
その問いを携えながら、富士の山麓を歩き、火山と生命、畏れと祈り、人と自然との関係を見つめ続けました。
