Genomic apoptosis

Genomic apoptosis

Why do we, humans, have to die?
What does death indeed bring us?
And how does the information of the dead cells stay in this world after death?
On my new works, I type base sequence, AGTC, on Sabi washi (rust paper) with Indian ink, and then the person who is in eternal sleep appears. It indicates a form of programmed cell death, apoptosis (translates to the “falling off” of leaves from a tree in Greek), which happens to confer advantages during an organism’s lifecycle as part of its natural growth and development.
